Lydia C. Desnoyers is the founder and owner of DesCPA Business Advisory – a Miami-based CPA Firm specializing in Business Advisory and Virtual CFO Solutions since 2010. Today, Lydia and her diverse team empower Women-Owned Law Firms, Small Businesses, and CPAs to have the business and life of their dreams through her firm’s core solutions.
DesCPA Business Advisory focuses on working with you on your mindset with as much energy as on your financial and operational strategies to increase your net profit and cash flow. The goal is to build and scale businesses that lead to financial freedom and a healthy work-life integration.

Lydia has a friendly, outgoing nature and a rare talent for financial foresight. Through years of experience, she and her team have learned the importance of developing long-lasting client relationships based on mutual understanding.

Before starting her practice, Lydia gained over six years of accounting and internal audit experience at Carnival Corp and plc.
Education​
After earning her Master’s Degree in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University, Lydia became a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

As a highly sought-after expert contributor, Lydia has made numerous appearances on multiple media outlets such as NPR, NBC Online, Fox News Radio, and Credit Karma to name a few. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Miami-Dade College School of Business and is a public speaker and volunteer mentor.

Board Member
Lydia currently serves as a board member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and was named chair of the FICPA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion task force. She is also a former Treasurer and Board Member of Honey Shine, Inc. (an Alonzo Mourning Family Foundation charity).

In 2019, Legacy Magazine recognized Lydia as one of the top 40 under 40 professionals in an August issue of the Miami Herald. She was also recognized in Florida CPA Today Magazine’s March/April 2017 issue as one of Horizon’s 19 Award Recipients in all of Florida.
